Who is Tennis for Kids?

uspta Peggy Parks is the owner, manager and instructor of Austin - area Tennis For Kids. Peggy began teaching some twentyfive years ago and is a USPTA certified professional 1 teaching instructor. She has coached USA Junior Team Tennis, participates in the USA School Programs and teaches tennis enrichment classes held in various AISD schools as an after school program for children.

Specializing in teaching young children, Tennis for Kids is located throughout the Austin area in elementary & private schools, parks & recreation centers, homeowner tennis facilities and private clubs.

By attending conferences, workshops and specialty courses conducted by USTA and USPTA professionals, Peggy remains up to date on techniques used in teaching children.

Regarding her philosophy, Peggy says,

"Children learn motor activities more by imitation than by verbal instruction. Learning and improvement rates vary from child to child. By giving recognition for both trying and improving as well as for succeeding makes every child a winner. And making every child a winner is my goal."
